K-Tek KE-79CC Travel Avalon Series Boom Pole Review
After 10 years of using our trust K-Tek KE89CC boom pole, it was time to get something new. We recently purchased a new travel case for our audio equipment. We wanted an all-in-one kit, including the boom pole. Unfortunately, the KE89CC was just a few inches too long for our new case, the Pelican 1605 Air Case. We explored options, knowing we wanted to stay in the K-Tek family, and luckily enough, they make a Travelers boom pole.
After a few weeks of usage, we can’t say we have any complaints. It collapses to 20″ making it easy to fit in most travel kits/bags, and still extends out to nearly 8 feet. We film a lot of interviews, and the length works just fine for our setups.
If you’re looking for a well-made boom pole that you can fit in your gear backpack or travel case, definitely give the KE-79CC a look.
